Challenge
Gatan, Inc. is the world's leading manufacturer of instrumentation and software used to enhance and extend the operation and performance of electron microscopes. Gatan needed a tool that could effectively communicate their product offering to their customers in an intuitive, informative yet entertaining way. The greatest challenge was the fact that Gatan's product list was so lengthy, with numerous features and benefits that needed to be shown. In addition, Gatan's budget was slim so the piece needed to be concise while still remaining comprehensive.

Recommendations
NIA recommended the development of an interactive tool that could be used by both sales reps and customers. To conserve costs, Gatan wrote the script internally and supplied it to NIA along with any required product shots/images.

Solution
NIA developed and produced a Flash-animated product demo that showcased Gatan's impressive array of products. The demo featured an interactive menu enabling users to jump ahead as needed in the demo, and the demo also included a link to the Gatan website so that users could review full details on products of interest.

Results
The product demo was very well received by Gatan staff and customers, and was so successful that Gatan chose to update it this year with their latest product offerings.
